PicoPLEX Family
Industry leader in single cell (or low DNA input) genetic screening and diagnosis, PicoPLEX yields highly reproducible copy-number results with very low backgrounds.
OmniPLEX Family
OmniPLEX amplifies ng input DNA or RNA for microarray and PCR analysis. Leading choice for FFPE expression and chromosomal array-based comparative genomic hybridization profiling.
ThruPLEX Family
ThruPLEX, 10-100X more sensitive than conventional NGS preps, delivers high performance from sub-nanogram inputs of DNA for sequencing, genotyping, and mutation detection.
TransPLEX C-WTA
For Whole Transcriptome Amplification

Commercialized in 2003 under the trade name of TransPLEX Whole Transcriptome Amplification (WTA), OmniPLEX technology has a unique approach to amplification that incorporates a denaturation first step, that enables this chemistry to work well with formalin-fixed or denatured clinical samples.
Product Sourcing
For diagnostic applications using human, animal, or plant sourced material, OmniPLEX technology is sold directly by Rubicon Genomics under the trade name TransPLEX C-WTA. Contact Rubicon Genomics for pricing information TransPLEX C-WTA manufactured under cGMP.
Simple Fast Protocol - Easily Automated
TransPLEX C-WTA is a 4 step protocol requiring 1 tube transfer and approximately 15 minutes of hands-on time. The reagent formulations have been designed and optimized for low level nucleic acid input (down to 1 ng for most applications) as well as high yield library synthesis output.

High DNA Yield from Difficult and Denatured Samples
- Generates isothermal libraries with PCR amplification
- Leading choice for FFPE expression
- Amplifies 10 ng - 300 ng of RNA or formalin-fixed RNA for sequencing, microarray and PCR assays
- Excellent performance with archived FFPE samples
Amplification of Clinically Relevant Genes from FFPE or Fresh-Frozen RNA Samples
Rubicon TransPLEX C-WTA amplified FFPE RNA samples followed by microarray expression analyses demontrated a strong concordance of clinically relevant genes with fresh-frozen (FF) samples. In addition the TransPLEX C-WTA kit demonstrated greater % concordance versus NuGen Ovation® v2 Kit for FFPE RNA amplification
1566 unamplified outcome relevant genes from fresh-frozen (FF) samples
- 52 archived FFPE samples
- TransPLEX C-WTA was more predictive of clinical status:

- Better concordance in the most clinically relevant genes
- More accuracy
- Faster prep and less hands-on time
