PlasmaPlex WGA for Plasma, Serum, Urine
Reproducible Whole Genome Amplification from Plasma, Serum, and Other Fragmented DNA
PlasmaPlex WGA applications:
- Reliable testing of plasma, serum, urine and other clinical samples
- Selective amplification of circulating tumor and fetal cell DNA fragments
- Epidemiological and pharmacogenomic studies from plasma or serum
PlasmaPlex™ uses a complex mixture of enzymes to repair short apoptotic fragments, ligates them to universal adaptors, and PCR amplifies the entire library with high fidelity and accuracy. Unlike GenomePlex, PlasmaPlex is effective in making libraries from DNA less than 400 b in size. It is a very effective method to amplify DNA damaged from formalin fixation, radiation, or shearing. PlasmaPlex is not recommended for less than 10 analyte copies because of reduced reproducibility.
