MethylPlex is Rubicon’s proprietary method for enzymatically digesting unmethylated CpG islands and selectively amplifying just the methylated CpG islands for study of gene regulation and discovery of biomarkers. MethylPlex libraries are made using very efficient random primers or by ligation. For NGS and array applications CpG islands can be enriched in order to increase analytical specificity and sensitivity.
