TransPlex™ C-WTA for Fixed and Other Degraded RNA
Reproducible Whole Transcriptome Amplification from Fixed and Other Degraded Samples
TransPlex™ C-WTA does an excellent job of amplifying total RNA from intact or degraded samples, giving you:
- The ability to study gene expression using biopsies and surgical tissue
- Biomarker discovery from archived FFPE sections
- Expression profiling of fixed FACS samples
- Splice variant analysis
Superior Performance
- Highly representative amplification of total RNA
- Effective for RNA fragments above 300 bases
- 90% sample success for archived FFPE collections
Simple, Rapid Protocol
- 3-hour, single-tube, two-step process
- No intermediate purifications, no final purification necessary
- Completely automatable
- Requires 100 – 300 ng RNA for optimal results
Important Features of TransPlex Amplified DNA
- Mixture of ds and ss DNA, MW ~ 500 b
- 3 – 5 micrograms DNA, ~50 micrograms/microliter
- Virtually no primer dimers, chimeras, or extraneous DNA background
- Excellent representation of even highly GC-rich sequences.
- Used on thousands of sections to discover diagnostic and prognostic markers
The TransPlex C-WGA kits amplify 50 samples for microarray, Q-PCR or NGS analysis. TransPlex C-WTA is a General Purpose Reagent (21CFR86) intended to be used before clinical testing of human, animal, or plant samples. Researchers not testing clinical samples must purchase the Sigma-Aldrich TransPlex WTA kit.
