GenomePlex C-WGA for Fixed and Other Degraded Samples
Reproducible Whole Genome Amplification from Fixed and Other Degraded Samples
GenomePlex™ C-WGA does an excellent job of amplifying genomic DNA from degraded samples, giving you:
- Ability to test for mutations, SNPs, CNVs, and aneuploidies from biopsies and surgical tissue
- Biomarker discovery from archived FFPE sections
- Genomic profiling of fixed FACS samples
Superior Performance
- Highly representative amplification of entire human or other genomes
- 90% sample success for archived FFPE collections
- Most effective for DNA fragments above 300 bases
- Faithful representation even for GC-rich sequences
Simple, Rapid Protocol
- Single-tube, 3-step, 3-hr process
- No intermediate purifications, no final purification necessary
- Requires 100 – 300 ng fixed genomic DNA for optimal results
Important Features of GenomePlex Amplified DNA
- Mixture of ds and ss DNA, MW ~ 500 b
- 5 - 10 micrograms DNA, ~100 micrograms/microliter
- Virtually no primer dimers, chimeras, or extraneous DNA background
- Excellent representation of even highly GC-rich sequences.
- Used on thousands of sections to discover genetic and epigenetic markers
The GenomePlex C-WGA kits amplify 50 samples for microarray, Q-PCR or NGS analysis. GenomePlex C-WGA is a General Purpose Reagent (21CFR86) to be used before clinical testing of human, animal, or plant samples. Researchers not testing clinical samples must purchase the Sigma-Aldrich GenomePlex WGA kit.
