Introduction & Company Overview
Rubicon Genomics is a leader in the development and commercialization of pre-analytical processes to improve the performance of analytical platforms for research and clinical testing. Rubicon is a private company founded in May, 2000 and located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Rubicon's core competency is creation of novel molecular biology tools to improve the analysis of DNA and RNA. We have developed the GenomePlex Whole Genome Amplification platform as the best method to amplify complete genomes for any type of genetic analysis. GenomePlex is currently an important research and diagnostic pre-analytical tool in thousands of laboratories around the world. The Rubicon TransPlex Whole Transcriptome Amplification products are the most robust and quantitative tools for amplification of total RNA. Finally the MethylPlex platform allows DNA methylation to be studied and tested in a more sensitive way. Together, these pre-analytical platforms enable more genetic, epigenetic, and expression data to be collected from patient samples. Rubicon kits, services, partnerships, and licenses have enabled the discovery of many novel biomarkers, disease genes. The Rubicon technologies and products are protected by over 25 patent applications. Rubicon's customers include the largest pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and academic institutions in the world.
